Longtime Ripken Baseball Employee Starts API Marketing

The longest-tenured employee of Ripken Baseball, Inc., left the company recently to start a Baltimore-based sports marketing and event management business. All-Pro Image & Marketing, LLC (API Marketing) officially opened for business Feb. 1 with the mission of using sports, sports-related events and athletes to make a positive impact on people’s lives – from the schools and youth leagues to the professional level.

Two of Baltimore’s most popular professional athletes, Brian Roberts of the Orioles and Derrick Mason of the Ravens, are scheduled to appear at the API/Perform Fit Sports and Fitness Camp, to be held at the Park School of Baltimore June 30 – July 3. The camp is for boys and girls ages 7 to 14.

Two of the nation’s most prominent collegiate athletic conferences have come to an agreement to participate in a unique and ground-breaking season-opening baseball tournament in Florida. The first annual BIG EAST/Big Ten Baseball Challenge, hosted by the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Sports Commission, will feature 30 games February 20-22, 2009, at various spring training venues in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area, API Marketing announced today.
